CyberTex Named to 2013 Inc. 5000


CyberTex Institute of Technology was honored at a conference and awards ceremony in Washington D.C. at Inc’s 31th annual celebration of America’s fastest-growing private companies.  Along with CyberTex, the 2012 list included other powerhouses such as Alex and Ani, LivingSocial, Bojangels, OtterBox and KT Tape. This is CyberTex’s second consecutive year to be awarded.

Mr. Iqbal Sheikh, Founder President & CEO attended the ceremony and received the Inc. 5000 Award for 2013.

Since 2001, CyberTex has been listed among Top 25 Computer Training Schools in the Austinregion.  This year, it ranked number 6 in Austin’s Business Journal Book of Lists for Career & Tech Schools.  CyberTex has also been a recipient of Diversity Business Top 500 Emerging Business in America and awarded by Austin Business Journal as one of the 50 fastest growing corporation of Central Texas.

Sheikh, a Pakistani entrepreneur has been affiliated as a member of the British Computer Society, Austin Technology Council, Austin Chamber of Commerce, Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce.  He is also a member of Advisory Council of Texans for Stem Cell Research, Austin Texas.

He was instrumental in raising $500,000 to establish the Charlie Wilson Chair in Pakistan Studies at theUniversityofTexas,Austin, first privately funded Chair in Pakistan Studies.

In 2012, Sheikh ventured into the high-end fashion industry.  Young & Fabulous, a celebrity driven fashion house located at the Hill Country Galleria has featured fashion shows throughout the Austin community benefiting non-profits such as the Dell Children’s Medical Center.
