Intel Pakistan concluded the Sindh Science Fair in the run-up to the Intel® International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel® ISEF), one of the world’s largest pre-college science competitions, to be held in Los Angeles, California in May 2014. During the Sindh Science Fair, students from across the province presented research-based projects in the categories of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Physics. More than 100 students and 40 teachers from all over Sindh participated in the fair and 51 projects shortlisted by the judges were displayed.

Winners of the Sindh Science Fair will be eligible to compete at the National Science Fair, which will take place in Islamabad early next year. Projects will be assessed by a panel of renowned judges, with winners eligible to compete at the 2014 Intel® ISEF which will be held from May 11th to May 16th in Los Angeles, California.

“Intel has sponsored the International Science and Engineering Fair for over 16 years now, and each year without fail we witness tremendous amounts of talent in these students from all over the world. ISEF is a great platform for youth both academically and socially, as they gain an immense amount of confidence and experience,” said Naveed Siraj, Country Manager, Intel Pakistan. “I sincerely hope that the students gain more in terms of personal growth through healthy, constructive competition and make our country proud.”
