Vivo, a rather unknown manufacturer (from China) becomes the first in the world to manufacture a phone with a “QHD” or 2K display.

“Quarter HD” or more commonly known as qHD has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 which leads to an impressive pixel-density of 490 ppi. The recently launched phone by Vivo comes with a 6 inch display. Along with these impressive video specifications, the new phone also offers a OPA2604 amp made by Texas Instruments, ES9018 DAC and DTS Headphones, which allow 11.1 surround sound effect.

Other specs include a 2.3Ghz quad-core processor with Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB worth RAM, 32 GB and LTE connectivity. Battery capacity is set at 3200 mAh.

Making its phone future proof, Vivo has also included impressive camera specs such as a 13 megapixel shooter at the back with f/1.8 aperture and LED Flash, along with a 5 megapixel front-facer. The back camera is also capable of shooting 4K videos at 60 frames per second. A fingerprint scanner has also found its way in the phone.

The new phone launched by Vivo is a product that is not known enough to create an impact in the global world but it will certainly force companies such as Samsung to adopt the technology in its upcoming phones.
