Rana Afzal Appointed as State Minister of Finance

Many affairs are victim of jeopardy and need some rearrangement. In one of the similar cases, our Finance Minister is absent from his incumbency and due to corruption trials and nevertheless, health problems he is unable to serve his assigned duties, although the tenure of Government is near to completion.

Rana Afzal, has been recently proposed to be appointed as Federal minister of Finance and in this regard Prime minster has also nod in approval.

Rana Afzal was serving as parliamentary Secretary of finance and now after cabinet approval, with prior approval of prime minister he has taken oath on Tuesday. President Mamnoon Hussain took oath and Prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was also present in the oath taking ceremony.

He was a member of National assembly after being elected from Faisalabad, NA-82 constituency. Rana Afzal holds a degree in Political Science and Engineering from Quetta and Karachi, respectively.

In early 70’s he was serving in Pakistan army and later in 80’s and 90’s he was part of Faisalabad chamber of commerce and industry as executive committee member and also on a very key position of Vice chairman at Water and sanitation agency.

Serving for two years in Punjab assembly as member of provincial assembly and again contested for consequent term in elections of 2008.
