Pakistani Robotics Team in First Global Challenge Competition 2017

Pakistani Robotics TeamThe US Embassy issued a press release on Friday, stating that a Pakistani robotics team of six Pakistanis are going to participate in First Global Challenge Competition 2017.

The statement said that the Pakistani robotics team will work in collaboration with other teams from across the world to complete engineering tasks focused on access to clean water.

The team had been actively preparing for weeks after winning a competition organized by Lets Innovate, a mentor, Ali Syed, accompanying the team also appreciated their efforts.

He added that the team was humbled and honoured to be representing Pakistan at an international stage and to show that Pakistani students have an aptitude and are passionate about finding solutions through robotics.

American Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Jonathan Pratt met with members of the team before they departed for the United States and encouraged them to engage actively with their other students from the US and approximately 160 other nations.

He hoped that Pakistani robotics team would take advantage of the given opportunity to share ideas about how to use robotics to solve some of the biggest problems that many countries are facing including Pakistan and the United States.
