“Pakistan is a very competitive market and tariffs here are lowest thereby, attracting strong competition.” This was the statement  given by Telenor CEO, Irfan Wahab in a media briefing on telenor’s new campus ‘345’. He added that with huge foreign direct investments being poured in Pakistan, we are looking ahead to make major transition to 4G network by next year. 12 years were absorbed in debut of 2G in Pakistan, while 3 years another for rolling out 3G but as a matter of fact, in only one year 4G network has accomplished setting base in one third of country and will be taken to 80% by next year.

Heavy investment is required for this objective but as a result most of the remote areas will be linked via voice and data. Telenor is pacing fast, with all possible digital advancements available, to target the needs of its customers and has vowed to reach everyone with their technology to harness greater impact.

Later, Chief Technology Officer Telenor, Khurram Asfaque while talking about their operation centers stated that we continuously supervise our network to ensure changes sought if any. 4.5G functionality is another service where we accomplished our trial of license assisted access.
